An important part of the Island's Climate Action Plan.
Climate Action Week, May 8 – 14, is a major community engagement component of the Climate Action Plan (CAP), which is being developed by the Martha’s Vineyard Commission and over 100 local residents to address climate impacts on our Island.
How to participate:
- Learn what is happening to make the Island climate change resilient and how you can help
- Weeklong events across the Island including several Bluedot Roundtable panel discussions, a Coast Guard tour, aquaculture tours, talks on eco-anxiety, green building, sustainable gardening, and more.
- Electric vehicle (EV) parade to the Grange Hall, Saturday May 14th from 10am-2pm, where there will be student exhibits, information booths, food, live music (including a song written just for the occasion), and a presentation of the MV and Gosnold Climate Action Plan
- Is your business engaging in eco-friendly practices or does it have plans to go renewable? Do you have a lecture or workshop you could give? A venue to host an event? Do you sell local or eco-friendly products? Have you written poetry, a story, or made art? Want to provide a locally sourced menu or dish? Already have an idea or want to participate but don’t know how? Contact Giulia Casalino at ev****@do*****************.com.
